Roadtechs to complete repairs on the A201 Blackfriars Bridge, London

Installation work commenced on the 147 year old Grade Two listed structure this weekend, with a team of 13 commencing on site, early Saturday morning.

Operations will continue at night for the remainder of the week, to reduce the environmental impact on the local community as well as the 50,000 vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians that use the busiest of the four City of London bridges each day.

Roadtechs are installing High Modulus Asphaltic Bridge Joints, which will cater for the expansion gap movement in the decks, which span the bridge’s five wrought iron arches.
